So it’s been a while between written posts. It’s cold & wet outside, soup is cooking and bread rolls are in the oven. What better time could there be to give you an update on what’s been happening? (Marvin Gaye’s “What’s going on” starts playing in my head).
Work/business: back in December I was set a Team Leader Challenge for Thermomix which I’m still ticking off the list (I thought my days of checklists had gone forever – to the Fiserv staff, I’m sorry for the reminder). It’s been difficult at times with a few tears in frustration – well, a few is probably a massive understatement! But, it’s certainly turned around in the last couple of weeks with a combination of good offers and timing to the point where I’m having to schedule grocery shopping time in the diary shuffle .
Whilst it’s been challenging and hard work, I’ve had a lot of fun along the way. I’m very lucky to have a great team of consultants and be in a great team of leaders who have been nothing but supportive and understanding to my cries of “Help”. I’ve learnt a lot and will continue learning as I meet new people every day who then become part of my #belikemichelle community.
Personally it’s been a couple of months of weirdness. I say weirdness because we have gone from a house of 4 to one with only 3. Junior left home, not just out with friends or a boyfriend a few minutes away but to AMERICA! She’s now living in Chicago with a young man I adore – it helps that he is an ABBA fan too – and I’m so proud of her for having a dream and working her way there. I say weird because the dog keeps going into her room looking for her & I keep looking for her at work at the shops to say “Hey Chuckles”.
I hope you’ve caught up with my YouTube videos. It’s certainly been a learning curve making them for me & my cameraman. We really enjoy filming and aim to do lots more. DON’T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE 🙂
There’s more highlights on the calendar coming – Junior is home fleetingly for Green Card appointments, 25th Wedding Anniversary (yes, I was a child bride :P), conference in Brisbane with my foodie crowd then a 50th birthday in Bali that might be mine?
Until then, see you soon – on the line 🙂
